Discover fashion in new ways

Explore the Collection has been co‑designed with young people aged 16–24.

Through hands‑on workshops at Bath & North East Somerset Libraries, participants tested layouts, suggested categories, explored fashion media, and helped shape how stories are presented online. The platform was then developed through further user testing sessions, each focusing on a core aspect of the digital experience.

Behind the scenes, the Museum team has strengthened catalogue records, updated descriptions, and commissioned new photography.

Selected looks have also been captured as 3D scans, working with digital textiles specialist, and MyWorld Fellow, Gabrielle Shiner‑Hill, allowing you to explore garments from new perspectives.
