Filming and photography

The magnificent Assembly Rooms and Fashion Museum are available for filming and photography. Read about some of the famous productions that have been filmed here.

Commercial photography and filming

The Assembly Rooms are stunning backdrops for commercial photography shoots and for film crews. The site has featured in many period dramas as well as holiday and travel shows. Due to the busy nature of the site we may insist that commercial photography takes place out of hours, namely in the evening or early morning. Commercial photographers and film crews must abide by our code of practice for photography.

For further information, our code of practice and current filming and commercial photography fees please contact us. For location images visit Bath's Historic Venues website.

Visitors

Visitors are welcome to use hand-held cameras, mobile phones and video recorders on site, but without flash please. There are some displays where photography is not permitted, and these areas in the museum galleries are clearly marked. Please contact us if you would like more information.
