Twilight Talk: Historical Gloves – Status and Splendour in the 1600s

Fashion and design historian Rebecca Unsworth of Queen Mary University of London and the Victoria and Albert Museum will talk about gloves from the 1600s in the context of her work of early modern clothing and shared European fashion. The Fashion Museum looks after possibly the finest collection of early modern gloves in the world. The collection is on loan from the Glove Collection Trust, which is associated with the Worshipful Company of Glovers of London one of the City’s ancient Livery companies.
