Dress of the Year 2020

Each year, the Fashion Museum invites a respected expert from the fashion industry to select an outfit that encapsulates the prevailing mood of fashion, represents the past year and captures the imagination.

The Dress of the Year 2020 as chosen by Iain R Webb, award winning fashion journalist and educator, is made up of seven outfits plus one film. It includes the headline making look worn by Naomi Campbell on a flight to New York in March 2020; camel cashmere cape by Riccardo Tisci for Burberry with Tyvek hazmat suit, facemask and pink latex gloves.

You'll be able to see the latest Dress of the Year and other selections from the Dress of the Year Collection in the Fashion Museum galleries when we reopen in May.
