Assembly Rooms Café

Please note: The Assembly Rooms Café is closed.

The Assembly Rooms Café in Bath is an idyllic location to enjoy a peaceful morning coffee or a light lunch amongst historic surroundings. Entry to the Assembly Rooms and café is free of charge.

The adjoining garden becomes a lovely little sun trap during the warmer months and can be used by guests from 10.30am until 16.00 (winter opening times) or 17.00 (summer opening times). The café itself is informal, offering a self-service style menu packed with tempting treats, from handmade cakes and giant cookies to freshly made sandwiches and cheesy pitta breads available at lunch time.

The majority of our food is prepared fresh on the premises and we work with local suppliers wherever possible. Our tea and coffee is not only hot and refreshing but also from Fairtrade or ethically traded organic sources. We also serve a range of award winning local ales, excellent ciders and even serve organic lager.

Special offers available every day

  • Enjoy a coffee and cake in the café for £5!
  • Choose from a soup and cheesy pitta or sandwich or toastie with a slice of cake and any soft drink for £9.95
