9 January 2011.
Manager of Bath & North East Somerset
Council’s Fashion Museum, Rosemary Harden said:
"Everybody at the Fashion Museum is absolutely
thrilled to win the Bath Life Best Event award for THE DIANA
DRESSES exhibition. It's an award for us all, to everybody here in
Bath and further afield who helped to bring the exhibition to
fruition, and most of all for the fantastic team at the Assembly
Rooms and Fashion Museum who worked tirelessly to make THE DIANA
DRESSES such a success.
“We hope to build on the success of this with
our new ‘What will she wear?’ exhibition of wedding dresses which
opens on Valentines Day.”
Cabinet Member for Leisure and Tourism,
Councillor Terry Gazzard said:
“Well done to the Council run Fashion Museum
for winning this award. High profile displays like the Diana
Dresses exhibition are a great contribution to promoting arts and
culture in the area and in helping to boost tourism to the city
“
