Take any time in history and one thing is certain, fashions
change. From stiff silks of the 18th century to Regency
cottons and embroidered muslins; from late Victorian velvets to the
softer styles on the eve of the First World War.
Included in the four linked displays are over
20 ensembles by Helmut Lang, who recently donated a large
collection of his work in fashion from 1997 to 2005.
