TOP TRENDS for Autumn/Winter 2011/12
TOP TRENDS
presents six top catwalk trends for Autumn/Winter 2011 using historical pieces from the Fashion Museum collection. These are the ‘looks’ that you will find in fashion magazines and on the high street. What is different here is that all the fashions on show are historical pieces from the Fashion Museum collection.

Last chance to see!...until 8 January 2012. This special display showcases some of the finest wedding dresses from the Fashion Museum collection, along with an unseen archive of photographs of couture wedding dresses from the 1930s.

SPORT AND FASHION
The catsuit that Olympic gold medallist Amy Williams wore at the Vancouver Winter Olympics in 2010 will go on display at the Fashion Museum in a new exhibition SPORT and FASHION, opening at the Assembly Rooms on 4 Feb 2012. Featuring eighteen show stopping evening gowns and cocktail dresses, Glamour presents a glittering array of sumptuous silks and bejewelled creations guaranteed to make anyone the belle of the ball.

Earthworks: Peter Burke at the Victoria Art Gallery
3 Dec – 5 Feb 2012 at the Victoria Art Gallery. The amazing sculptures in this exhibition were made from soils found within a 20 mile radius of Bath. The sculptures explore the relationship between people, place and the earth, using for subjects people who are connected with the area.
