A winning entry in a dress design competition

 

1-hour and 90-minute interactive sessions based on the National Curriculum are held at the Fashion Museum and subject areas featured include History.  Pupils will be encouraged to develop their speaking and listening skills in whole class, small groups and by individual work.

 

The Clothes We Wear
Link clothing past and present in an exploration of pattern, symbols and types of dress.  In a 90-minute session, view our collection and use magnetic shapes to design a patterned piece of clothing.

 

Toys of the Past

A lively 90-min explorer session investigating and handling a range of toys from the past.

 

Visit our Dresses of History display and try on Replica Victorian sporting costumes.
